I'm not really sure how much of a forum "community" you wish to create here, But anyway to get the ball rolling and perhaps some more posts going on here...
What's your favourite style of horror? Personally I like all but it usually doesn't get better than horror that relies on atmosphere/beautiful visual imagery. Often found in southern European horrors and Italian "Giallo" films but not at all limited to these. Some favourites that I think rare very atmospheric include:
All Argento/Fulci (Argento much mroe so) circa 1975 - 1990 Tombs Of The Blind Dead [1-4] (1971 – 1975) Beyond the Darkness (1979) The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (1974) Halloween (USA) (1978) Intruder (USA) (1989) Phantasm [1-4] (USA) (1979 – 1997) Evil Dead Trap (JAP) (1988) best Japanese horror EVER anyone? Totally Argento inspired stuff.
I really can't get enoguh of the music in some of these films too! Have your say...

Honestly, I think I go through moods where I like one sub-genre and then another. I'll watch a ton of slashers and get burned out on them and then I need something differant to watch for awhile.
Dark Humor is probably my favorite. I find myself watching movies like Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Re-Animator, Sorority Babes In the Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama and Cheerleader Camp over and over.

I like a lot of different sub-genres but my favorites are slashers, haunted house horror, and anything that will scare me. I just love to be scared. I watch a lot of different horror movies from different time periods. Started to watch movies from the 60's and so far I have liked Psycho (1960), The Innocents (1961), Carnival of Souls (1962), The Haunting (1963), Rosemary's Baby (1968), The Haunted House of Horror (1969) and The House That Screamed (1969). Love Camp Horror movies from the 80's too. Just uploaded BodyCount (1987) to my Veoh account.
P.S: You can all feel free to create as many topics on this message board as you want.

My favorite sub-genre would have to be the classic 80's slasher movies. A close second would be the monster movies that also came out in the 80's, Blood Beach, Leviathan, movies like that. I recall coming home from the video store with a bag full of movies to watch over the weekend. There are some that I've probably seen 20 or 30 times if I've seen them once.
